A few months back, when I was working on building the trail to get wheelbarrows into The Wild Woods I made a startling discovery. I invited the kids over to try and find what I had found. They looked and looked and eventually found it! A TOAD! The children were very excited by this discovery. They were amazed at how well it blended in with the dirt. This gave us a chance to talk about how many creatures in nature blend into their environment to protect themselves from predators.
