Jethro Listens to the Woods
Jethro and I were sitting near each other today, watching some of the other children play a game, when a big gust of wind blew through the woods. I asked Jethro, “Can you hear the wind blowing through the trees?” He told me he could, so I asked him what other sounds he could hear…
He listened for a bit and responded:
I hear the children talking to each other.
I hear a car.
I hear a woodpecker.
I hear the creek.
There are so many wonderful sounds to listen to in the woods!
