One thing we love about The Wild Woods is the unique problem solving opportunities the children experience on a day to day basis.
This afternoon while exploring the creek Thora and Georgia noticed a deep spot where they wanted to cross. Instead of stepping in and potentially getting their boots wet, they decided to make bridges. They used rocks, sticks, pots and logs to build their bridges and we’re quite proud of their work. In addition to having to lab how they wanted to make their bridges, they also needed to work as a team to move many of the objects that were too heavy for one child to move. Before they moved on with their day one of them said “now we’ll be able to cross here during a big storm!” only time will tell if their bridges will hold up!
