Creating music from untraditional instruments

Throughout the year, the children have the chance to bang on different objects with sticks and hands to see what kind of noises they can make. Today, Georgia, Lahae and Bella were banging on items from our mud kitchen and making up their own lyrics as they went. True Improvisation!! One of my favorite moments was when Lahae flipped the bowl over and made a new sounds.

It truly makes all of the teachers smile when the children use items in the woods in untraditional ways. By allowing the children the chance to do these things, we foster the growth of their creativity and their ability to think outside of the box.
